Life-changing journeys with licensed mental health professionals

Now that psilocybin therapy is available in Colorado, it’s critically important to understand the landscape of care. Under state regulations, a “facilitator” is only required to complete a brief training program—an education that often lacks any prior medical or mental health background.

At Psilocybin Healing Centers of Colorado, we believe that a journey this profound requires more than the bare minimum requirements. Every member of our team is a Clinical Facilitator, which means they are not only state-licensed facilitators but are also licensed mental health or medical professionals (LPCs, LMFTs, PMHNPs).

Expertise vs. Observation

A standard facilitator is trained to watch; a Clinical Facilitator is trained to integrate. As licensed mental health professionals, we understand anxiety, depression, trauma and how your experience can help you heal on a deeper level.

Clinical Depth

We are equipped to handle the heavy emotional lifting that often arises during a session—moments where "basic training" isn't enough to navigate deep-seated psychological patterns.

We offer the peace of mind that comes from being supported by a clinician who has dedicated their career to mental health, long before psilocybin became an option.

mushroom therapy Use Cases

What is psilocybin-assisted therapy used for?

A comprehensive, clinically-led protocol designed for lasting change for long-term mental health conditions.

Treatment-Resistant Depression

A neuroplastic catalyst for those who have found little relief from traditional antidepressants or talk therapy. We help quiet the "default mode" of the brain, opening the door to new emotional perspectives

Anxiety & Distress

For those navigating deep-seated fear or life-altering transitions. We facilitate a shift from internal hyper-vigilance toward a grounded state of acceptance and peace.

Complex Trauma & PTSD

A safe, clinically-monitored environment to process traumatic imprints. By lowering the brain’s defensive barriers, we create space to integrate memories that once felt overwhelming.

Emotional Vitality & Connection

Reclaiming the capacity to feel and engage with the world. We specialize in moving beyond the "muted" or numb state that often follows years of chronic stress, helping you rediscover a sense of internal resonance.

Our Commitment to You

A safe, transformative path back to you

  • Clinical integrity: Every journey is guided by a dual-licensed professional to ensure the highest standard of medical and psychological care.

Johns Hopkins logo
71% Clinical Response Rate Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (published in JAMA Psychiatry, 2020).

71% of participants showed a clinically significant response (at least a 50% reduction in depression scores) at the four-week follow-up.

Ohio State University
Sustained Remission Journal of Psychopharmacology (2022), Ohio State University & Johns Hopkins (published in Journal of Psychopharmacology, 2025/2026 follow-up data)

75% of participants from the original Johns Hopkins study showed a clinical response at 12 months, and 58% remained in full remission. Recent 5-year longitudinal data suggests that for many, these shifts in well-being and emotional capacity are permanent.

FDA "Breakthrough Therapy" Status U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA)

This status is reserved for treatments that demonstrate "substantial improvement over existing therapies" for serious conditions.

The "Neuroplastic Reset" Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) and Nature Medicine (Imperial College London & Johns Hopkins)

Research using fMRI scans shows that psilocybin acutely "desynchronizes" the Default Mode Network (DMN)—the part of the brain associated with self-referential thought and ruminative loops.
